A Slow and Freezing Morning
Day 103 started slowly. The cold felt heavier than usual, freezing both outside and indoors. Even so, I followed my usual routine diligently, got ready, and sat down for a proper breakfast that I had been looking forward to. The meal felt grounding and necessary, especially before embarking on a long workday ahead, filled with numerous tasks and obligations that awaited me.
As always, I took my omega 3 and D3 K2 supplements before heading out into the brisk morning air. Small habits like these, which may seem trivial at times, keep the structure intact even when my energy feels low, reminding me of the importance of maintaining my health no matter how challenging the day may appear.
A Heavy Workload and Limited Focus Time
Work was intense today. The sessions were regular, but the overall workload was heavier than I had anticipated. Duties stacked up quickly like a mountain of responsibilities, and there was little space to breathe between them, creating a pressure that I knew I had to navigate carefully.
Whenever I found a small window of opportunity, I worked on my blog, pouring my thoughts and reflections into each post. I did not manage to finish everything I wanted, but I stayed consistent, pushing through, and did what I could. Some days are about progress toward goals, while others are simply about maintenance of what I have achieved so far, and today leaned toward maintenance, an essential aspect of any journey.
By the time I finished my workday, both my mind and body were utterly drained, feeling like I had run a marathon of tasks, each one requiring a piece of my energy and focus.
Nutrition, Rest, and Necessary Recovery
At home, I prepared a wholesome and balanced meal featuring tender chicken pieces and fluffy rice that filled my stomach and heart with comfort. I added vibrant fruit and fresh vegetables to round it out, consisting of apple, banana, orange, strawberries, and crisp lettuce, each adding a burst of flavor and nutrition. Alongside the meal, I had my collagen, zinc and a dose of vitamin C to support my recovery, understanding the importance of nourishing my body after such an exhausting day.
I rested for a bit and ended up taking a nap, something I had not planned but realized I desperately needed. It was later than I had initially aimed for, but it felt necessary. The exhaustion caught up with me like a tidal wave, and my body clearly needed that pause to recuperate and recharge.
Evening Reflection and Missed Training
When I finally woke up, it was already night, and I felt the remnants of the day lingering in my mind. I spent some time handling additional work duties and keeping things in order, a gentle reminder of the responsibilities that never quite end. Unfortunately, there was no training today, which left me feeling somewhat unsettled.
Physically, I feel slightly better as the hours have passed. My hand and thumb continue to improve day by day, which gives me a sense of confidence that the rest I have been taking is indeed working. Still, they are not fully healed, and the caution I must take remains ever-present.
Today also marked the start of the tournament that I had been looking forward to. I reached out to Abdullah, who told me he had already moved to the next stage because his opponent missed weight, an unexpected twist of fate in sports. He invited me to attend tomorrow’s matches. I plan to go, Inshallah, although timing may be tight since the matches start before I finish work, creating a little tension as I try to manage my schedule.
Emotionally, it is difficult to watch from the outside. Not participating hurts more than I expected, especially knowing how much effort went into preparation. At the same time, I understand that waiting and healing is the smarter choice in the long run. There will be another chance to compete, and the importance of patience is becoming clearer with each passing day.
Day 103 Lesson
Today reinforced the importance of patience and self-awareness throughout this journey. Progress is not only measured by action, but also by the ability to exercise restraint and timing, recognizing the value of every moment, no matter how small.
Day 103 complete. Healing continues, discipline stays intact, and the road continues to unfold before me.
